I am currently 28 years old and I reside in Mississippi. I was born and raised in Mississippi but I love to travel to see new places. My biggest fashion idol is my Mother b/c she is FAB-U-LOUS. I started blogging b/c I realized that I was seeing a lot of awesome looks from women that didn't have curves like me and I wanted to have my own little place to inspire other women of all races that aren't the stick thin American ideal. There is a huge misconception that you can't be both plus size ( I prefer the term curvy) and fashionable. I do not think that weight can keep you from being fashionable. Yes skinny girls have more stores but style has less to do with the size of your clothes and more about vision. I have seen terribly dressed people of all sizes trust me.
I think the reason that we have to look so hard to find stylish curvy bloggers is b/c a lot of curvy women have been told for so long they they can't be fashionable that they have started to believe it. I am unapologetically PHAT and Fashionable. I don't shy away from color, print, heels, or bright lips. I am BOLD, CURVY, BEAUTIFUL, and I'm here to stay. ReplyDeleteI am 33 yr old curvy woman who loves too be fashionable and yes I agree with all you have said and I appreciate you for displaying your fashion but there is one look im very interested in the forever21 animal cardigan and yellow skirt absolutely love that look its fab. I am a forever21 shopper but havent seen that cardigan.
ReplyDeleteThanx Lika I bought it around late July or early August from the F21 website....the first time it was ever featured it sold out in like 2 days and I was soooo sad but they brought it back and they had it n like 2 or 3 colors when I got it the next time. I hope they will bring it back again so I can get it in another color!!

Ok... I am a single mother of a 4 year old, and know I have very little fashion sense. HELP!!!!! I am tired of the jeans and tees on the weekend, and blank pants and plain top during the work week. I want to change my look, especially now that I am ready to date again. I have always been ashamed of my curves, but as I am working out, eating better and still on the thick side, and I am ok with that, as long as I can look good. Can you please share your thoughts on where I should shop and how to start to make subtle, affordable changes in my appearance?
