Hello ladies,

I CAN'T be the only one reading facebook updates about people standing in LINES waiting to purchase the new Air Jordans or status updates bragging about having the new air Jordans...........the first status I read like that the record stopped and my initial thought was : Wait. People STILLLLLLLL wait in line for Jordans???!!!!! Seriously?????????!!!!!! I have never and will never understand 200.00+ basic sneakers that I personally think are not pleasing to the eye. I definitely don't understand lines and the violence that always seems to happen when people are fighting over these shoes!!!
Click here to read a news article about a violent incident that happened while people were waiting in lines for these shoes.

What are your thoughts??????

Until Next Time,

  1. I don't understand the violence. It's completely senseless. But I have to admit... my hubby is a complete sneaker head and he got two pair of these Jordans last night online. He didn't have to wait in line for this release, but he has waited in line previously. It's a status symbol. Sneaker heads are serious about their shoes, like Apple people are serious about their iPhones and iMacs. That's what I equate it to. This release seems to have been the most televised, but it certainly is not the first time, and it wont be the last (sadly).

  2. You know people will push certain things like they are total essentials. I have never been huge on Nikes or anything like that. The violence over getting these shoes is just ludicrous. Since when has a pair of shoes been as important to have as food, water, and shelter? I don't get it.

  3. I do love Jordans, but most all Jordans are re-released, so I'm not about to evenn stand in some maddness to fight over some shoes.
    That's just craziness to me.

It goes way further than need be. I really think that they should start doin it online only. because the violence over some damn sneakers isn't needed.

    xoxo, Shariece

  4. waiting in line for clothing items totally sucks. i did this for the versace for h&m line. there was no violence, but it took so long! never again, lol.

thanks for stopping by my blog--hope to see you around again!

    Happy Holidays! <3

  5. I've never understood the whole stand in line thing either... Maybe Id stand in line for some Red bottoms or jimmy choos lol but then again I doubt I would even stand in line for those...

  6. thanx for your feedback guys I thought I was the only one who felt this way.....I'm a huge online shopper so me and lines do NOT work out lolllllll

  7. I too am shocked that people continue to commit acts of violence over Air Jordans or sneakers, period. And it's scary to think that a pair of gym shoes which won't be good for no more than 3 or 4 months cost $200.

My mom bought me the first pair of Jordans back in '86 and she tripped over the cost that was close to $100.

    Nike getting money. Still.

  8. If I ever have a son he will not be wearing Jordans unless he gets a job and wants to pay for them himself lolllllll

  9. I heard about this - did you see in the news the lady who started shooting people over air jordans? It's sick.

  10. I saw a few posts about it, well just one from a person who I know lives at home and is NOT gainfully employed. There was an incident here in which a lady left her kids in the car to get some. People can do what they want but being reckless isn't ok.

  11. OMGGGG Kirsten I didn't see that story smdh

@Dr Reginia I saw that story it's just sad :(

  12. My thought?

    I'm over it.

People are so materialistic and greedy.

    Merry Christmas though girl <3

    great post!
